The skin is salty, but this one is better than the one with red bean filling, because the filling is sweeter and can barely cover up the saltiness of the skin. The one with red bean filling is salty and sweet, which is a bit strange.

This is what it looks like after defrosting and putting it in the microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds. It's not as chewy as other frozen honey rice cakes, but I think it tastes better because it's less artificial. It's thick and sweet, so it doesn't look that good, but it tastes good.
The songpyeon is so good, you can enjoy it right after thawing. I bought two; I finished one and I'm saving the other for later.
It's good to eat as a snack, but the rice cake tends to break apart easily.
