This is my favorite Japanese hot pot base so far. It’s very flavorful and not really spicy. My only critique would be that I don’t think it’s “kimchi” flavored per se. It tastes more like miso with gochujung. It doesn’t have the sour taste one would expect from kimchi. It’s a good hot pot base, I just don’t think “kimchi” is the right descriptor.
It's delicious and I've been buying it over and over again. It's easy to eat and the spiciness is easy to eat and warms you up. I finished it off with rice porridge and it had a very mellow flavor.
It's not too spicy, so even people who don't like spicy food can eat it.
