It has no fishy smell, which is good, but you have to remove the gills yourself. Also, the inside of its head is shaved very clean, so there's absolutely no meat left, just the head. If you want something with even a little bit of meat, you might want to skip it.

I wanted to make a salmon head soup, so I decided to purchase a fish head from Weee. This is my first purchase of this product from Weee. It was about a pound; arrived packed in ice and frozen solid. It was fresh and lovely. There was a little bit of scales on the flaps, which I removed, along with the fins and gills. I washed with vinegar and salt, seasoned then added to my soup. The salmon head made a fantastic fish soup. I enjoyed it very much. I’m definitely going to repurpose as needed.

I made fish soup. The fishy smell wasn't as strong as I expected, but you still need to add more ginger, pepper, and angelica root when making soup. The only downside was that frying it felt so cruel; being stared at by its eyes made me uneasy… especially now, during the peak of the Yu Menglong wrongful conviction case…

It's really too outrageous, although it was a special offer bought back, seeing the fish gills have not been cleaned, cleaned up have half a pound and some meat is mold ah!
