It’s tasty but don’t expect it will puff and grow big as you cook it like the ones we’re used to in the Philippines. It actually deflates and gets chewier as it gets cooler.

I am so glad I found canned bangus here. I made a great choice and bought the other flavors too!
This was my second time ordering this from Wee. I use it every time i cook palabok and i could taste the palabok with it. Worth to buy!!!
Frozen product packed well. Didn’t expect this existed. Great to use for palabok.
I tried boiling it with daikon radish. I boiled the daikon radish with sugar and mirin, and when it was soft, I added the mackerel with all its juices, added soy sauce and boiled it a little more. It was very delicious.
There were three nice, large pieces in one can. I boiled it in a can of tomatoes and ate it.
I boiled soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar in water, then added whole daikon radish and canned mackerel and simmered it. If you want to thicken it, add some potato starch and simmer. A dish with a mild flavor!
