It's about as thick as a toilet tank lid. Many toilet cleaners have "do not mix" warnings, so I was worried that it would mix with other cleaners when I washed and flushed it, but this seems fine, so I'll give it a try.

You just plop it inside of your tank (alone to the side, careful not to disrupt the flushing mechanisms) with its protective disposable film intact and it will dissolve into a powder after some time. Although, I would suggest using this with another scented cleaning item to boost results like after doing a sanitizing and cleaning then adding some of the nice gel flowers to the inside of the toilet bowl.
