This is my first time having chestnuts. I wasn't sure what to expect. The taste and texture is similar to cooked chickpeas, but slightly sweet and nutty at the same time. I think they're good. Most of them are dark brown, but I did have 1 or 2 from one bag that looked golden like the package picture. The darker ones are just more caramelized and sweet. They're not crunchy, they're soft when you bite into them. Kind of like a cold potato. But the inside looks like a nut and splits like a nut. I like that these are virtually fat-free, high carb.

I was craving chestnuts so badly, and this is exactly what I was looking for. It's so delicious. I'll buy it again. It's perfect as a snack.
Delicious sweet roasted chestnuts, came in 6 (I beleive) sealed individual pouches. Perfect to eat as they are as a snack, but I used them in a meat stew as well, came out great, great taste, texture and flavor!
These chestnuts taste pretty good, but a few are too dark in color.
It's good as a healthy snack when you're out and about~
