It is quite dispointing receiving sunnyhill pipeapple cake in US, it is very hard and not as good as what we bought in Taiwan. I actually had very good impression for sunnyhill and that is reason I ordered as gift to my friend.

When received, the shelf life is still one month. Pineapple cake is better than Wanglai cake. Wanglai cake is the taste of that moon cake during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
These are the best and most tasty pineapple cakes. They have real Taiwan pineapple filling and not too sweet. Kinda expensive. $51 for box of 15.
Unfortunately, the crust was too loose, and I didn't like the texture very much. When I bit it, the crumbs were all over my clothes and the table.

The packaging is beautiful (even if you eat it by yourself, it’s pleasing to the eye), it’s very fresh, the pastry is soft and easy to break, so you have to cut it carefully because you can taste the fiber of the pineapple, which is a bit sweet (personally subjective). You may be used to the taste of slightly hot hills, but this one is not bad (and a little cheaper)

It's nice that the filling has a more sour taste than chiate, but instead, the filling fibers felt a bit tough, so that's the only disappointment. It's still delicious.
This is my first time to try it. (I usually buy a pineapple cake from ISABELLE on Weee)I can feel the high quality of cake itself and it's so tangy. When you chew it, you can feel the pulp of the pineapple. So good, but not an affordable price.
