I understand the traditional way to make this pastry is to use LARD and I think a disclaimer needs to be put in that this is NOT vegetarian.The first bite that I took into this, all I could taste is the very pungent stench of pork lard. It is the very stinky kind. That is all I can taste and it leaves a terrible aftertaste in my mouth that won’t go away.
