The enlarged version of the rice dumplings are almost smaller than a pack of cheese. The advertisement is untrue. I am very curious about how small the normal version of the cheese is. The scale is not a product purchased on weee. I will not buy it again.
I was cheated. It was just a rice ball with a small piece of hard dry meat the size of a thumbnail. It was not pork belly, and there was no other fillings such as mung beans. The rice tasted a little sour.

This photo contain 2 dumplings, one dissected.1) There are barely any fillings as you can see in the photo.2) The "preserved meat", like the kind in the promotional photo, is non-existent, just mere scraps.3) The umbrella term "preserved meat" here constitutes mostly the chinese sausage kind, and not the good ones. The ones in the dumplings are tasteless, like the abomination canned hotdogs. Maybe that's what they are.4) Never eaten a glutinous rice dumpling before where the glutinous rice taste and smell so plain, until now.I have to give kudos to the people that made these. It's a rare skill where you can assemble all the chinese goodies and make them as plain as water, and that's an insult to water, which can be quite tasty itself.Never again.
Don't buy this one because it's too small. It's less than half the normal size. The taste is average and the price is too expensive.

These are a little on the small side, but the flavor is delicious. The texture of the rice is correct. Mine only had a piece of pork fat not pork belly, my daughter's had a big piece of pork not pork belly, her salted egg yolk was a little hard. Still, delicious flavor and would buy again.
I was looking forward to this with salted egg yolk. Salted eggs are hard to find nowadays. Look at the 3rd picture - tasted so bad I could not make myself finish it. Stick with the frozen zongzi with no egg yolk.
Delicious. Salted egg and very tender pork belly inside. Not too salty. Well seasoned.
Tried these for the first time. Just okay. Large, tender, but not much flavor. Lots of rice. I ate through to the middle expecting to finally find some filling. Only a salted egg. No meat at all. Probably won’t buy again. Sadly. the other frozen brand I tried was better than these restaurant ones.

The leaves are very big, so they should be useful for wrapping rice dumplings.
I have to say that the taste of this zongzi leaf is really strong.
The quality of the leaves I bought this time is pretty good. I wrapped 20 dumplings and still have more than half of the leaves left to put away for next time.

It's a big zongzi. There are 2 in each serving. There is a lot of meat. The egg yolk is shriveled. The zongzi tastes OK. Overall, it's neither good nor bad.

These are big size, however only one piece of small and thin meat with most fat and one egg York inside. That’s being said the amount of rice is overwhelming.
The rice dumplings are wrapped very solidly and tightly, but the glutinous rice itself has no taste. The pork inside is very small, +1 firm salted egg yolk. There is nothing left.

I'm so sorry about the pic. it look so delicious and I just eat forgetting about the pic, is easy to get the sticky rice hot, just wet a paper towel wet, squeeze it and wrap around the rice and microwave 3 min, and you see like it just came out from a steamer. it is really very tasty with the egg york as the lead, braised pork and the sticky rice goes well!
Super delicious, just the right size for a snack. Good ratio of meat and salted egg yolk to sticky rice. Sticky rice is chewy and not mushy, light handed seasoning. I added a bit of soy sauce and chili oil and it was perfect. Definitely reordering!
I like the rice dumplings stuffed with salted egg yolk very much. I have repurchased them many times.
