Description
Slow-braised beef shank simmered in a rich, savory soy-based broth with tender daikon radish. A classic Taiwanese flavor, served without noodles for a pure, concentrated taste experience.
The only advantage of this beef soup is that it is very tightly packaged. There were three big pieces of beef in it, but the taste was really not to my taste. The meat is tough, salty, and has a sour taste. It's not the bad acid, it's the acid from overcooked soy sauce. Other than that, there is no other flavor. As you can imagine, the soup also tastes sour. The sauerkraut wasn't tasty either.
The name of this restaurant is Xiao Shenyang (Shenyang?). Do people in Shenyang like to eat sour beef? I don’t know. All in all, for a Taiwanese like me, this is probably the worst beef I have ever eaten in my life.
