The majority were beyond fresh, I had 1 or 2 stalks out of 18 with holes starting in the middle but beyond minor. For the quality abd the price these were amazing.

I put it in pork soup. I felt the price was high, but I think it's worth the price because it contains a considerable amount. The taste is also delicious.

I always have a lot of it, so I cut it and put it in vinegar water before freezing it.

Most are thick so it was easy to cook. Nice earthy aroma. Got skin off with the back of a big knife in running water. Cut Into matchsticks which were dumped into a bowl of vinegar water. Drained and cooked with carrots also cut into matchsticks and konnyaku in water, brown sugar, soy sauce, and homemade mango wine (in lieu of sake).
