Daifuku Mochi Kurogoma, Frozen
The outer skin of Daifuku is similar to mochi. It is made of glutinous rice. The outside is coated with a layer of white powder to avoid sticking to the hands. The inside is full of red bean paste. The shape is round. It is said that Dafu is called "big belly cake" because of its appearance, and later generations took its auspicious homonym and renamed it "Dafu".
