The wild herb and vegetable specialty corporation Seolaksan Green Foods opened its doors in 1973 under the name Osaek Produce, producing and selling dried namul, mushroom, and medicinal herb products for 50 years under the brand called Masua (a Korean word that means “tasty” in the Gangwon-do dialect of the Yeongdong region). Introducing dried namul products from herbs and vegetables grown in the pristine regions of Gangwon-do, Korea, by Seolaksan Green Foods, a company that has been bringing quality foods for the last 50 years based on their long experience and keeping to traditional methods.

Namul is a Korean food that refers to herbs and vegetables eaten raw or cooked after seasoning. Many of them go into the much-beloved dish of bibimbap and are also readily transformed into a myriad of diverse side dishes called banchan. The ingredients are quite healthy, and many are considered medicinal for their beneficial properties.

Chili Leaves are full of vitamins, containing 70 times of that in green chilies. Lightly seasoned and combined with dried radish, the namul makes an impressive banchan and an excellent addition to bibimbap.

To make the namul, soak the chili Leaves in lukewarm water for about an hour, rinse 3 to 4 times before boiling them for 30 minutes, and cool. Squeeze out excess water before stir-frying the leaves in a frying pan with perilla oil and various seasoning ingredients (green onions, garlic, toasted sesame seeds, soy sauce, etc.).

청정 자연 강원도 지역에서 자란 나물만을 사용해 더욱 건강한 ‘설악산그린푸드’의 건나물 제품들을 소개해드려요. 50년간 건나물을 만들어온 오랜 경험을 바탕으로 전통 방식을 살린 위생적인 시설에서 생산되고 있어요. 각 나물별로 제철인 시기에 수확하여 자연이 주는 건강함이 잘 살아있어요.
‘고춧잎’에는 비타민이 풍부하게 함유되어 있어요. 풋고추의 70배나 된다고 해요. 알싸한 고추향이 풍기는 나물로 무말랭이와 환상의 궁합으로 함께 무쳐 밥 반찬으로 많이 먹죠. 산채비빔밥에 넣어 먹으면 비빔밥의 맛을 더 살려줘요.

‘고춧잎’은 미지근한 물에 한 시간 정도 불린 뒤 흐르는 물에 3~4회 깨끗하게 씻어내고 30분간 끓는 물에 불리고 식힌 후에 요리하시면 돼요. 삶은 나물을 꼭 짜서 후라이팬에 넣고 들기름 두르고 각종 양념(파, 마늘, 깨소금, 간장 등)과 함께 볶으시면 맛있는 나물 볶음이 완성될 거예요.

흐르는 물에 3~4회 깨끗하게 씻어낸 후에 요리하시면 돼요. 젖은 나물을 꼭 짜서 후라이팬에 넣고 들기름 두르고 각종 양념(파, 마늘, 깨소금, 간장 등)과 함께 볶으시면 맛있는 호박 볶음이 완성될 거예요.
