Hawthorn Berry Jam Stick 250 g

I love all forms of hawthorn candy. I saw this item when buying multiple types of hawthorn products. It seemed interesting, although the name "Jam Stick" did not match the name of any item I had purchased in the past. The name is a bit misleading. Inside was one slab of Hawthorn "jam". The "jam" is the consistency of jellied cranberry sauce and that is how I used it. I put it in a mushroom wine sauce I was serving over chicken, the same as I would have done with left over canned cranberry sauce. The sauce turned out very well, except it took a little more effort to melt than cranberry sauce. I like it better than canned cranberry sauce and could see using it every way I use cranberry sauce, such as mixed into chicken salad or spread on bread for a chicken or turkey sandwich. I was hoping for another form of hawthorn snack, but instead found an ingredient that I will use as a preferred substitute for canned cranberry sauce in poultry dishes.

Really like the simple ingredients and good taste. Repeat buy.

I was a little skeptical if it is all natural. After trying it I like it. Not too sweet a little sour. Will be in the repurchase list.

Hmm, not quite what I expected. This “jam” comes in a “stick” inside a bag vs in a jar or squeezed bottle.

The ingredients list is clean and the taste is very good. I can eat a few pieces after a meal and buy the right one at a discount!

I haven’t tasted the taste I had when I was a kid for many years.
