Thai Jasmine rice is officially known as Thai Hom Mali rice. Hom Mali local landrace varieties were widely distributed throughout Thailand under a variety of names including 'Khao Hom', 'Hom Mali', and 'Khao Mali'. It is a long grain variety which means Thai Jasmine Rice cooks up soft and fluffy rather than being sticky. It’s an award-winning variety and hailed as the World’s Best Rice in 2020 and 2021 for its quality over the years. 

 

This type of rice is perfect for Asian dishes like stir fry, Arroz Caldo, and Fried Milkfish (Bangus). No wonder why Jo Koy, a Filipino American comic, chose this variety for his rice brand!
