Juanchengpai Sichuan Pi Xian Broad Bean Paste 1000 g

Packed well, haven't tried yet in Mapo tofu. I heard it's more fermented than the jar one and combo of both makes better Mapo tofu

I transferred it to a large mason jar for easier storage and access. inside this package is a plastic bag which is harder to handle

Very good paste. It is spicy, salty with a mild clean funky fermented smell. Good quality at a good price

I made a mapo tofu inspired stew with this. So good to eat in winter when it is cold.
