It tastes like vegetarian fish sauce, but if you are used to normal fish sauce, be warned that this is not the same thing. This is exactly what I expected from avegetarian fish sauce, but I would say it doesn’t have the exact same type of umami and/or saltiness that you’d expect from a normal fish sauce. However, for its price, I am very impressed that this consistent is being sold, especially for people who practice vegetarianism.

Great find! My husband is allergic to seafood and now I can make food we can both enjoy. Tastes great!
