Rau Ram, Vietnamese Coriander
Rau Ram, also known as Vietnamese Cilantro or Coriander, is an essential herb to many authentic Vietnamese dishes. Used as a garnish in soups like Bun Bo Hue, Bun Rieu, and as an accompaniment to hot vin lon, or the Vietnamese equivalent of balut.
This aromatic is commonly described to be similar to conventional cilantro, but spicy and with a hint of cumin.
Rau Ram is used also in many other Southeast Asian cooking, and known as Cambodian Mint, or phak phai in Thailand.
