ShanYi Teriyaki Tuna Steak with Jasmine Rice 8.8 oz

Very delicious

Bought on Nov’22 at a decent price of $4.49. 1) TASTE is good. If you’re on a restricted salt diet for health reasons, you may want to skip this. 2) PORTION. I’m a 5’8 160 workout 4 days a week man. This barely hit a dent. If you are, however, on portion control, you’ve hit the jackpot. The plate in the picture is a small dinner plate. I included a standard size coaster for comparison. 3) TUNA STEAK. Mine only came with 2.5 pcs. The 3rd pc is literally half the size of the initial 2. ShanYi, if you’re reading this, include 4 decent size pcs as pictured in your packaging. Add a few slices of carrot and cilantro, they will enhance the look, aroma and give your consumers a better sense of quality. 4) Rice. Well made, even after microwaved. 5) Price. Decent, depending on where the tuna is sourced from. I won’t buy at a higher price though.

Easy to have on hand when needing a quick meal. Microwave 80seconds. Definitely smells fishy,

Decent, but could be better. I added a small amount of hoisin sauce (see second photo), which helped the flavor quite a bit. All in all, I feel like you could get a can of drained albacore tuna, a package of jasmine rice, and a small amount of teriyaki sauce, and get very close to the same thing. The jasmine rice even feels like it could have been done better. All in all, I can only recommend it if that combination sounds good to you. I'm a bit disappointed, and probably won't get another one. Oh well, I always love trying new stuff, and Weee! rarely lets me down, but it happens from time to time. It's just the nature of trying new things!

I bought it when it was on sale to try, and I didn't expect it to be so delicious.
