Shanghai Sticky Rice Roll with Pork Floss 300g

It wasn’t as good as expected and won’t buy it again.

The sticky rice seemed to be over cooked, it was very soft and mushy. The long doughnut was soggy as well. The only positive is that there is a decent amount of pork floss…

Just like the description, there is ONLY pork floss and fried cruller. Unfortunately, I was recently in Taiwan, and had my fill of sticky rice balls/rolls (the best), so anything from delivery in the U.S. is going to be meh. For the price, they should’ve at least include a bit of pickled veg and/or sesame seeds. Very bland. Soggy rice. Very sad. Will not be ordered again unless I am REALLY jonesing for sticky rice balls.

Wow this truly was disgusting tasting, I ended up tossing it. Maybe it was the way I had heated it up, but it was super oily and soggy. Maybe it was the mental effect of finding a bug inside the packaging.

Rice is really sticky and a little too wet. youtiao is too oily and not crispy by the time it was received, and even though there were bits of preserved veggies scattered, you couldn't taste them at all. If you have a craving for it, this is fine. Just not great.

Do not buy unless you will eat it the day it arrives. It states on the packaging that you must consume the same day.
