Here’s how to make Golden Square Glass Noodles just right for your various dishes:
- For pan-fried japchae or as accompaniments to soup or jjigae dishes: Soak glass noodles in cold water for 1 hour before pan-frying or adding them to boiling dish
- For the quicker mix-in-the-bowl japchae recipe: Add glass noodles to boiling water, cook for 6 minutes, drain, and move to bowl
If you want more chewy noodles:
- Soak in lukewarm water for about 30 minutes, then cook in boiling water for 4 minutes for that extra chewy texture.
- Adding 2 tablespoons of soy sauce to the boiling water will both season and make the noodles a bit more like al dente.
- Wash boiled noodles with cold water 2 or 3 times, drain well, then lightly coat them with a little bit of sesame oil to prevent sticking.

고구마 전분만을 사용하였기 때문에 너무 오래 삶으면 찰기가 떨어질 수 있어요. 골드네모난당면을 잘 삶는 법 소개할게요.

잡채를 팬에 볶아서 요리할 경우 혹은 탕이나 찌개의 사리로 사용할 경우
찬 물에 1시간 정도 불렸다가 볶거나 끓일 때 투입합니다.

시간이 부족하거나 잡채를 무쳐서 요리할 경우
물이 팔팔 끓을 때 당면을 넣고 6분 정도 삶아 건져내 사용합니다.

보다 쫄깃한 면발을 원할 때
미지근한 물에 30분 정도 불린 후, 팔팔 끓는 물에 4분 정도 삶으면 보다 쫄깃한 면발이 완성됩니다.

삶는 물에 간장을 2큰술 정도 넣으면 당면이 쫄깃하면서도 간이 배어 있죠!
- 삶은 잡채 면은 찬 물에 2~3회 헹구고 물기를 뺀 후 면이 서로 붙지 않도록 약간의 참기름으로 버무려놔주세요.
