Treatment of Pubic Lice: Sulfur is traditionally used to kill pubic lice (a parasite that lives in the pubic hair area). It needs to be applied properly to the affected and surrounding areas as directed or prescribed by your doctor.
Kills Mites & Treats Scabies: Sulfur ointment is one of the classic remedies for scabies (a contagious skin disease caused by the scabies mite). It effectively kills scabies mites and their eggs. It is usually applied all over the body (except the head and face) and lasts for several days.
Anti-Itch: Sulphur has some anti-inflammatory and anti-itch properties and can be used to relieve itching caused by pubic lice, scabies, mite bites or other inflammatory skin conditions.
AID IN THE TREATMENT OF ACNE: Sulphur is often used as an aid in the treatment of acne, especially oily skin and inflammatory acne, because of its sebum-suppressing, slightly exfoliating and antibacterial properties.
Adjuvant for eczema: The antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of sulfur are sometimes used as an adjuvant for certain types of eczema (especially when accompanied by infections or severe seborrhea), but are limited in their effectiveness, are not preferred, and may irritate sensitive skin. Caution is needed and it is best to consult a physician.
Dermal Antibacterial: Sulfur has an inhibitory effect on a wide range of bacteria and fungi.
