
Taiwan Traditional Red Wheat Vermicelli
A classic Taiwanese street food with 40 years of heritage. The “red” color comes naturally from long steaming, with no added coloring or preservatives. Chewy, aromatic, and resistant to overcooking.
Directions:
Boil 2000cc of water. Add the whole pack of vermicelli and cook for 10–20 minutes depending on preferred texture. Season and add toppings as desired. Finish by adding a slurry of water mixed with tapioca or sweet potato starch, then turn off the heat.
Note: The vermicelli already contains salt; adjust seasoning accordingly.
