Produced in Uonuma Prefecture, the yield is extremely low. The Uonuma area is a well-known "rich snowfield" in Japan. In winter, there is a lot of snowfall, and sometimes the area of snow can reach more than 3 meters. In summer, there is still clear ice and snow meltwater to nourish the soil making it a very fertile ground for cultivating rice. The cooked rice grains are full and shiny, and the rice in the mouth is fragrant, sweet, and soft.
