Description

"Meika Hiyoko" is a cute chick-shaped bun that originated in Iizuka City, Fukuoka Prefecture.
Yoshinodo's "Meika Hiyoko 7-pack" is a traditional baked confectionery from Iizuka, Fukuoka, with a distinctive adorable chick shape. Since its creation in 1912, it has been popular nationwide as a gift or souvenir. The inside is filled with plenty of rich "kimi-an" (yellow bean paste) made by kneading sugar and egg yolks with "Shiroyuki-an" (white snow bean paste) made by carefully bleaching carefully selected dwarf beans. This bean paste is characterized by its smooth and refined sweetness, with all impurities removed. The outer skin is made of a unique blend of wheat flour called "Hiyoko-only flour," which is combined with molasses made from fresh eggs and white sugar to create a fragrant, rich, and soft texture.
