【升级篇】Weee! Prohibited and Restricted Items

Before listing your item, make sure we allow it on Weee!, and find out if we have specific rules and conditions on how you should list it. Check the list of prohibited and restricted items below. You also need to make sure that the sale of your item complies with all laws.

Make sure your listing follows these guidelines. If it doesn't, it may be removed, and you may be subject to a range of other actions, including restrictions of your buying and selling privileges and suspension of your account.

 

Weee! Prohibited and Restricted Items

 

  1. Adult Only category - examples include adult anime items, sex toys and sex accessories, clothing (new or used), images of nudity and nude art, magazines and books, adult media and illegal and obscene items

  2. Alcohol- you must carry the required license to sell alcohol products, and follow lawful shipping policies that specify the states to which you can ship alcohol products (if any), and any restrictions on such shipments.

  3. Animals and wildlife products – examples include live animals, animal parts, and specimens

  4. Art - you may sell your own original artwork or artwork that you are authorized to resell. You may not sell unauthorized copy or reproduction of any work of art

  5. Artifacts, grave-related items, and Native American arts and crafts - Any restriction or ban on selling these items is generally based upon various laws that we need to follow, including: The Indian Arts and Crafts Act, The Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act, and The Federal Cave Protection Act

  6. Catalytic converters and test pipes - For more details about the EPA's policy, read the EPA's guidelines for buying and using aftermarket catalytic converters.

  7. Contracts - When you list an item that comes with a contract, you're responsible for following the rules of that contract. Since Weee! isn't a party to these types of contracts, we don't advise on contractual issues, review contracts, adjudicate, or take sides in any contract disputes, or enforce terms from third parties restricting the resale of an item. If you have any questions about your rights or obligations under a contract or agreement, get in touch with the company you have the contract with or talk to a lawyer for advice.

  8. Counterfeit currency and stamps

  9. Drugs and drug paraphernalia - examples include narcotics, steroids, and all other controlled substances. For information regarding the sale of prescription drugs, read our Medical drugs and devices policy.

  10. Electronics equipment – examples include cable TV de-scramblers, radar scanners, and traffic signal control devices

  11. Electronic surveillance equipment – examples include wiretapping devices and telephone bugging devices

  12. Embargoed goods and prohibited countries – examples include items from Cuba

  13. Firearms, weapons, and knives – examples include pepper spray, replicas, and stun guns (see also the International Traffic in Arms Regulations)

  14. Food (please follow Weee! Food Selling Rules and FDA Food Guidance Documents)

  15. Government documents, IDs, and licenses

  16. Government, transit, and shipping-related items – examples include airplane operations manuals, subway employee uniforms, and U.S. Postal Service (USPS) mailbags.

  17. Hazardous, restricted, or regulated materials – examples include batteries, fireworks, and refrigerants

  18. Human remains and body parts

  19. Items encouraging illegal activity – examples include an eBook describing how to create methamphetamine

  20. Lockpicking devices

  21. Medical drugs, devices, and healthcare – examples include prescription drugs, pacemakers, and surgical instruments                  

  22. Multi-level marketing, pyramid, and matrix programs

  23. Offensive material – examples include ethnically or racially offensive material and Nazi memorabilia

  24. Police-related items

  25. Postage meters

  26. Prohibited services

  27. Real estate

  28. Recalled items

  29. Slot machines

  30. Stocks and other securities (see U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC))

  31. Stolen property

  32. Tobacco

  33. Noxious or illegal weeds and seeds (see USDA Plants for Planting Manual)

  34. Infringing items (copyright & trademark) and counterfeit items
