This is my No 1 choice for 腐乳!More than 30 years ago, an aunt’s mother in law in Kunming used to make these, we were lucky to be able to enjoy her craft, the taste was embedded in my memory forever. I am SO glad to see this brand on Weee, I would say the taste matched what I remembered. The difference between this one and all other brands, I believe is used of ginger in this brand which is very notable; there is no sugary taste which in my opinion is kind of odd for 腐乳 in some brands. and there is no excessive of reliance on oily spices after the 腐乳 was made. Overall, it is savory, refreshing and absolutely yummy. I rarely eat 腐乳, but because of this one, I started to eating it again. Obviously, one should reduce stadium intake, but this is a pure enjoy of life, moderation is the key!
