little smaller than I expected but very fresh and sweet

Received on 2025-0305. Hard as stones, unripe, no aroma; coloration typical of very unripe fruit. Took days to ripen acceptably, with two fruits tried on the way (1st one tried was HARD [as distinct from "crisp"] and tasteless) till today, 2025-0312 --- when the fruit is finally soft enough that one can slice around the fruit - the one I randomly selected - then twist the two halves apart to detach one side from the stone. With difficulty at that. The flesh is just slightly sweet, still quite firm but the flesh is now limp and the skin is heavily wrinkled, which was not palatable and had to be cut off laboriously. The observations clearly indicate the fruit desiccated badly over the week or so that was needed to achieve some ripening. I would consider the fruit still not really ripe even now.
