Hand-picked from a high-grade gyokuro tea garden in Uji, Kyoto

This precious tea has been carefully hand-picked from the tea garden of Mr. Riichi Yoshida, a renowned Uji tea producer who has received numerous awards, including over twenty Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Awards at the National Tea Competition. His tea garden is known for its high-quality tea fields and hand-rolled gyokuro production techniques, representing the pride of Uji.

Mr. Yoshida’s tea garden still uses traditional Uji methods, building shelves with logs and bamboo, spreading reed blinds, and laying straw on top. By covering the tea garden, direct sunlight is blocked, allowing the production of premium tea with less bitterness and more umami.
