Daily Dashi uses Hokkaido-grown ma kelp to bring out its richness and flavor, while reducing the saltiness for a refined taste. (Salt equivalent per packet: 0.8g of Daily Dashi Dashi, 1.6g of All-Purpose Dashi) Since it doesn't contain any flavoring ingredients such as bonito flakes, you can enjoy the clean, pure flavor of kelp. Additionally, the kelp is available in both chips and powder form, achieving a perfect balance of aroma and richness when simmered.
Basic Dashi Making Instructions
(1) Add one packet to 400ml (2 cups) of water and heat.
(2) Once boiling, simmer over medium heat for about 3 minutes, then remove the dashi pack.
Recommended for dishes that fully savor the umami flavor of kelp dashi, such as clear soups and tofu simmered in water. You can also remove the contents of the pack and use it as a seasoning for stir-fries and salads.
