Bánh Dứa Đài Loan Pan's Cake 1 hộp

I liked this pineapple cake from Taiwan because it had a good amount of filling that wasn’t too sweet and was chewy without being too hard. Each piece was large, but although the outer shell had a nice egg flavor, I didn’t care for the amount of salt I could taste (100 mg per piece). A box contains 12 pieces and aren’t sealed. I purchased this at a discounted price, knowing that it would mean the expiration date would be not far off, so I didn’t mind that it was 8 days away.

This is my first time buying Pan’s Cake Pineapple Cakes. There are 12 pieces in the box. Air shipped from Taiwan. I received on Wednesday April 9th, 2025. Best Before Date is April 27th, 2025.

I got this on a discount so I bought a few boxes. I liked it a lot. Much softer and fresher tasting than cheaper cakes .. I haven’t tried the other more expensive brands yet so I can’t compare. But this was still pretty good…

It doesn't leave any weird artificial flavoring after taste. The sweetness level is just about right to me. The Pineapple & Egg Yolk (鳳黃酥) is much soft and has a sweetness/saltiness flavoring profile. I'd recommend to buy both. The Pineapple cake is good with tea, while the Egg Yolk is fantastic to have with coffee.

tastes like your average pineapple cake from the grocery store and it seems there's more wintermelon than pineapple in the filling. and quick note, they expire within a week after I got my delivery

My favorite brand of pineapple shortcakes. Was able to get these with a great price however there was only less than a week left with the expiration date.
