Quite surprised that the 2 lbs paper box (the box itself is not taped shut or protected in any way neither) of dried persimmons didn’t even have a thin film covering the fruits inside the box. I wouldn’t have minded for foods that have yet to be washed or cooked, but for the ready to eat persimmons - this really gave me pause.
Though the persimmons looked fine, the idea that anyone could have easily lifted the paper lid to touch those persimmons really is not a very comforting thought.
Well, throw them in the freezer, then see if I have the courage to eat it sometime later.
