Shanghainese fish as protein for bibimbap

This brings back a lot of memories from my childhood.. It tasted very similar to my Mom’s. It has a sweet and tangy flavor.

Smoked mackerel in a Savory, tangy sauce. A small portion, but enough to make an awesome stir fry with some bok choy and scallions. Highly recommended.

There are 2 layers of packaging and the fish tastes pretty good with rice. it has a subtle slightly sweet flavor.

Doesn’t taste as good as I expect.

Open and serve. This traditional Shanghainese smoked fish is easy for the new year lunch preparation.
