This mahogany-brown sauce is made of pureed dates, tamarind, salt and spices. Its fruity, hot, sweet and sour taste is great with samosas, grilled meat and seafood. A great dip is made by mixing this chutney and plain yogurt and dipping crispy snacks.
Ingredients: tamarind, sugar, corn oil, white vinegar, citric acid, sodium benzoate, fd&c red 40.
