Sanxia's Bi Luo Chun tea is a type of green tea, specifically the Qingxin Ganzi variety, which is unfermented. It is produced in the Gufang Organic Tea Garden located in Sanxia. Gufang Organic Tea Garden is committed to improving the soil fertility of its organic tea garden and only uses government-approved organic fertilizers (all plant-based). This approach enhances the sweetness and longevity of the processed tea leaves.

To create a less stomach-agitating Bi Luo Chun green tea, Gufang Tea Garden pays special attention to every detail. Apart from hand-picking the "one bud, two leaves" young sprouts, they also lower the temperature during the tea frying process. This ensures that even when brewed with boiling water, the tea is less likely to cause stomach discomfort (individual tolerance may vary). They use a 30-jin (approximately 15 kilograms) frying pan and fry only 5 jin (approximately 2.5 kilograms) of tea leaves at a time. With their skilled experience, they ensure that each leaf is properly fried. After tea leaf processing, they precisely control the temperature to preserve the tea's sweetness and enhance its fresh aroma.

A century-old tea garden transitioned to organic farming, earning the Green Conservation Mark

Sanxia has historically been an important region for Bi Luo Chun tea production. The Gufang Organic Tea Garden, situated at an elevation of approximately 400 meters, has been in existence for over a century since 1871. Lee Chang-jun, the fourth generation of tea growers in his family, began cultivating tea using organic methods in 2012 and obtained organic processing certification in 2014. Throughout the transition to organic farming, they worked hard but also created a conducive environment, attracting various forms of wildlife and insects, forming a natural ecological food chain. This includes many small green leaf cicadas, fireflies, and emerald tree frogs. Footprints of pangolins can also be seen in the tea garden, leading to the application for the "Pangolin Green Conservation Mark."
