Chewy dough and sweet fillings - there are many versions of this combo in different cultures. The recipe shown here is my family version that I have eaten since young. Today I'm making 2 types of kueh - purple sweet potato dough with taro fillings and orange sweet potato dough with peanut fillings. Ingredients for dough: Purple sweet potato Orange sweet potato Glutinous rice flour Ingredients for fillings: Peanut filling - roasted peanut, sugar, butter Taro filling - steamed taro, sugar, vegetable oil Taro is mashed and pan-fried into dough-like I used a mould for this recipe to achieve the beautiful 寿 print.
