Description

-Classic Flavor & Fragrance

Dragon Well (Long Jing in Chinese) is a world-famous green tea with a fresh, sweet flavor, and a clear green liquor. The dry leaves are flat with pointed tips and are bright yellow-green. Our Dragon Well has a classic chestnut and heavenly orchid fragrance.

Authenticity

Our Dragon Well Green Tea is from the traditional home of this world-famous tea: West Lake in Zhejiang, China. Each region that produces Dragon Well is known for a different fragrance, such as an orchid floral aroma, chestnut, bean, or steamed rice.

History of Dragon Well Tea

Dragon Well’s ancient history begins in the Tang dynasty, 1,200 years ago, when it was first made at the Long Jing temple, close to the town of Hangzhou and West Lake. In the 18th century, Emperor Qian Long of the Qing Dynasty loved Dragon Well tea so much that he went to Long Jing 7 times. His preference for Dragon Well green tea made it famous, and it is still the #1 most popular green tea in China, with tea drinkers both young and old.

Processing Method

Our Dragon Well Green Tea is spring-picked in early- or mid-April, when the leaf sprouts are still tender, but have developed the strength for a rich fragrance and flavor. Dragon Well is a unique green tea; the entire process from pan firing through drying is done in one pan.
