WITH OVER 200 YEARS OF HISTORY, PHU QUOC FISH SAUCE HAS BEEN RECOGNIZED AS AN INTANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE OF VIETNAM AND WAS GRANTED PROTECTED DESIGNATION OF ORIGIN (PDO) STATUS BY THE EU IN 2012, MAKING IT THE FIRST FOOD PRODUCT IN SOUTHEAST ASIA TO ACHIEVE THIS TITLE.
