The fresh tea eggs from this same brand are much better. I buy those from my local supermarket. These are convenient but do not taste very good

Okay in a pinch if you are hungry or need a marinated egg in a hurry like I did (for ramen), but don’t expect it to taste, smell, or look like a freshly made tea egg or a soft boiled egg with a gel-like center. It is a dense, hard-boiled egg marinated in soy sauce. It is not bad, not great; just okay. The best thing about it is that it’s vacuum-sealed and ready to eat.
