Main Effects (Efficacy)
Da Chai Hu Tang (Major Bupleurum Decoction) is a traditional Chinese–Japanese Kampo formula used to regulate liver and gallbladder function and improve digestive disorders. It is mainly used for:
Fullness or tightness in the chest or flank area (under the ribs)
Poor appetite, nausea, and constipation
Irritable stomach discomfort caused by stress or frustration
Obesity with constipation, mild liver dysfunction, or hyperlipidemia
Sometimes used to help improve fatty liver, cholecystitis, and chronic gastritis symptoms
Dosage and Administration
Adults: Take 1 packet, 2 times daily, before or between meals with warm water.
Recommended times: before breakfast, before lunch, and before dinner
Children: Please follow a doctor’s instructions
Precautions
Suitable for those with moderate or stronger physical constitution, a tendency toward constipation, or abdominal fullness
Not suitable for those who are weak or prone to diarrhea
Stop taking and consult a doctor if diarrhea, abdominal pain, or rash occurs
Consult a doctor or pharmacist before using together with other medications

Bupleurum Root (Chai Hu), Scutellaria Root (Ougon), Pinellia Tuber (Hange), Jujube Fruit (Taisou), Ginger (Shoukyou), Bitter Orange (Kijitsu), Peony Root (Shakuyaku), Rhubarb (Daio)
