Aroy-D Longan in Syrup are longan fruits peeled, prepared, and soaked in syrup. Longan are similar to lychee fruits in texture and color, sharing a milky white interior and taste like a small peach. Since these fruits are mainly sold fresh, they must be consumed shortly after harvesting. The canning process allows for preserving its fresh taste so it can be enjoyed outside of its native environment. Canned longan is commonly enjoyed in Southeast Asian desserts--add them to shaved ice, enjoy them with coconut milk, or spear them with a fork and enjoy from the can!
