Chiran tea is made from tea leaves grown in Minamikyushu, a city located in the prefecture of Kagoshima, Japan.
A first-grade tea full a nutrients
During the winter tea trees load with nutrients. As spring arrives these perennials come to life in the warm spring sunshine. Fresh new buds and young leaves appear on the tea bushes and make the most exquisite chiran tea. Leaves from the second harvest are called nibancha and likewise leaves from the third and fourth harvest are called sanbancha and yonbancha. Harvesting frequency mostly depends on the zone. Theanine contained in tea changes into catechin when the plant is exposed to direct sunlight. It results in a tea high in astringency. Hence, this first flush premium chiran tea tastes wonderful.

Best way to prepare
Hot Brew Tea
1. Add tea leaves
1 tea bag
2. Add water
120 mL (4.06oz) Boiling
3. Brew
1 minute ※If you let your tea cool to 80°C and then remove the tea bag, you can enjoy a tastier cup of tea.
4. Serve
Bounce the tea bag(s) up and down a dozen times. Remove the bag(s) and enjoy your tea!
Cold Brew Tea
1. Add tea leaves
1 tea bag
2. Add water
300 mL (10.14oz) Cold
3. Brew
2 hours
4. Serve
Stir, remove the bag(s) and enjoy your tea!
