I mixed it with Shabu Shabu meat and ate it. It was my first time eating Chinese ramen, and it was less spicy than I thought. As I read in other reviews, I soaked the noodles in purified water to prevent them from sticking together, and then boiled them. They were chewy and well-cooked. I ground up some cashews that I had at home and sprinkled them on. The sauce had a unique Chinese chili sauce flavor.

These are my all time favorite instant noodle. Sometimes the noodles stick together and don't absorb as much liquid, but you just have to separate them and let them breathe in the hot water. I like to add a little extra chili crisp and some soy sauce.

I bought 4 and they came in a large pack. I absolutely love the Xian cold spicy noodles so I decided to give the sesame flavor a try. I didn’t really like it was much. There’s barely any sesame flavor in it and the spicy flavor isn’t spicy enough. I just thought it’s ok, so I’ll be sticking with their cold spicy noodles in the future!
Previous reviews mention that the noodles are on the harder side, so I decided to boil them. Turned out pretty good. Not terrible for the price, but I wouldn't consider it a freshly made item. I'd repurchase though.
I'll give it four stars, mainly because in the food desert of the Bay Area, it's not easy to make the skin like this. Rolled noodle skin is different from cold noodle skin, and it's not easy to make it like this. I'll minus one star because of hygiene issues. The printed note was thrown together with the food. And my friend is from Shaanxi. After taking a look, he said: "The boss who put carrots in the cold noodle skin is either not authentic from Shaanxi, or he is cutting corners to save money"...
