I have been using Lee Kum Kee's old oyster sauce for a long time, but I started to switch to a vegetarian diet for health reasons. After trying the fresh matsutake seasoning powder, I was pleasantly surprised, so I tried this vegetarian oyster sauce. But I really think that its taste is still different from the real oyster sauce, and the taste is not better, so it cannot be replaced. It can only be said to be a vegetarian seasoning sauce with mushroom + smoke flavor. I personally don't think there is any special surprise.

The soup is very rich. I happen to have lamb shoulder at home. I simmer it with ginger for an hour and then add the soup dumplings and cook it for half an hour. Add some fresh mushrooms and louvered tofu and it is very delicious. I feel warm all over after eating.

To be honest, a little disappointed. It may have something to do with me not being a vegan every day, there is a slight fishy smell. Heavily seasoned, very salty and slightly burnt. It tastes like a sauce mixed with bean dregs, but it's a bit like meat sauce as you said. Individual packaging is convenient. Too salty, personally don't like it.
The sauce is somewhat on the sweeter side . I feel it needs to have more soy sauce. I add some ground pork and sliced mushroom to the sauce to increase its fragrance and taste.

The mushroom powder used to be very fresh and delicious. Since the packaging was changed to this "authentic Yunnan flavor", the seasoning packet inside has also been changed. Now the taste is weird and not very delicious. The amount of rice noodles in the new packaging has been reduced by at least 1/3. I don't know if it is healthy or not, but the taste has deteriorated anyway.
It seems to have changed the formula, different flavors from before, not as good.
