Black sesame is easily in my top five favorite flavors, because it is equally amazing in sweet OR savory foods. In America it seems to me like the most underrated, almost undiscovered dessert flavor, comparable and on par with chocolate or peanut butter (and it pairs well with both of those in every setting!) In some cases it is best to get whole, raw sesame, then toast it yourself before use - but for my immediate needs, when sesame is the star of the show, this pre-ground bag does the trick in high quality at an affordable cost. I blend up my sesame with some sugar or honey, a dab of sesame oil, and enough water to run smooth, and use it for things like bubble tea and homemade coconut milk ice cream. With a better blender or food processor I would be able to get it perfectly smooth, but I recognize the remaining grittiness is due to my kitchen equipment so I will not fault these delicious seeds for that.
