Made black sugar boba milk tea today. My grocery store only carry black sugar but in huge cube. This is quicker. I cooked boba in this syrup instead of water and it tasted a bit roasted which I like. Make sure your boba is the quick cook kind. Otherwise the syrup would burn.

I really love the taste of this syrup! It's got such a rich flavor that it's almost not sweet, but it's the perfect amount of sweet. I tried this in a black sugar bubble tea recipe, and, of my own error, I accidently used a black tea with orange in it that ruined the whole drink. This syrup was the only thing that helped me get through it. It's that good! I would absolutely get this again for my bubble tea beverages (if I make it with just milk next time)!
