Add more ingredients and a black egg

Although the price of the pork porridge is OK, the porridge tastes like paste and I won't buy it again

First time ordering this and it did not disappoint

The 3 of us didn't like the porridge unlike the other 2 items we got from Cheung Hing from the Milpitas location. It didn't have much preserve egg nor fresh pork flavor nor essence. I barely found any yolk & the texture of the egg white which are black for preserve eggs were extra chewy. I hope they aren't fake eggs from China made of inedible material. It's difficult to have bad preserve egg & pork porridge but somehow this made it to the bad list for us. My 2 adult sons wouldn't eat it after eating 2 spoonful. The 3 items from Cheung Hing came inside a thermal bag with a ice pack so most likely they weren't made the same day it was delivered.

Never buying Cheung Hing congee again. I made sure to get both the Cheung Hing and the Ming Tasty congees in this order because I wanted to do a taste test. Cheung Hing has been consistently watery the last few orders, so I figured I’d see if Ming Tasty’s was better. And truly, this one (Cheung Hing) was not worth buying. It was super watery, with very little meat or preserved egg. It came with a small container of ginger and scallions which were clearly rancid based on smell. Ming Tasty’s was thick, smelled fresh, and had plenty of egg and meat. Flavor was better too. Will never go back to Cheung Hing and will be careful not to buy their other dishes either. You can see the photos I posted. The side by side has Cheung Hing on the left (very watery) and Ming Tasty on the right. The egg and meat was just the bit in the middle. The Ming Tasty one had it distributed all throughout. You can see the closeup photos I took of each congee. The Cheung Hing one is white and flat because it was so watered down. Ming Tasty’s is lumpy because it was thick and full of ingredients.

My first time trying it. Hopefully it’s good.

Very good for $6. Perfect consistency, lots of pork and century egg. I like how garnish was on the side too. Definitely would purchase again. Not to mention to convenience.

I bought this for the first time and was very satisfied with the taste and quantity. Will repurchase!

This century egg and lean meat porridge is very delicious, but it’s a pity that there are too few century eggs and lean meat.
