Deep roasted hojicha powder with the rich sweetness and aromatic flavor of caramelized burnt sugar.
Matchæologist's first special hojicha is a hojicha powder made from carefully selected Kyoto Uji tea leaves that are steamed, dried, and roasted by skilled artisans to bring out a unique sweet and aromatic aroma like roasted nuts, coffee, and caramelized sugar.
Using a proprietary “deep roasting” technique, roasting time and temperature are manually adjusted to infuse the tea with perfect strength and robustness.
This hojicha is in fine powder form and can be easily used in drinks and sweet recipes such as hojicha lattes, ice cream, and baked goods.
Simply pour in hot water and stir with a spoon or shake the cup for instant dissolution and easy serving!
