These menthol crystals are almost 100% pure peppermint extract, derived from natural peppermint oil.
The main component of peppermint oil is ℓ-menthol, which gives peppermint its distinctive refreshing cooling sensation.
These peppermint crystals are formed from the crystallization of ℓ-menthol extracted from peppermint oil.

Only about 1-2% of peppermint oil can be obtained from peppermint leaves, and from that, only about half can be crystallized into menthol, making it an exceptionally precious product.
