Product Description

Our 2012 Liubao Tea is meticulously crafted by a revered tea master and a representative inheritor of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region-level intangible cultural heritage (Liubao Tea Making Technique). With generations of tea-making expertise passed down through her family, Tan Aiyun embodies the dedication and passion that lie at the heart of Liu Bao Tea's enduring legacy.

Each sip of this Liu Bao Tea is an invitation to embark on a sensory journey through time. The tea's signature "mellow, full-bodied, aged, and aromatic" qualities come alive, leaving you with a lingering sweet aftertaste that will entice you to savor every cup. Known for its durability, this tea can withstand more than 15 infusions, each brew maintaining its hint of honey and aromatic profile, allowing you to savor its complexity over numerous sessions.

This tea is not recommended for beginners but is designed specifically for seasoned tea enthusiasts who appreciate the intricate nuances and depth of traditionally crafted Liubao tea.

Steeping Guidelines

Gaiwan or Zisha Teapot

Both Gaiwan and Zisha Teapot are perfect for appreciating the tea’s aroma and flavor through multiple infusions. Use water at 212°F (100°C) to extract the full flavor and aroma. The recommended tea-to-water ratio is 1 gram of tea for every 25 milliliters of water. For steeping, start with 5 seconds for the first four infusions (5s / 5s / 5s / 5s) and gradually increase the time from the fifth infusion onward (10 seconds, then longer as desired).

Thermos

This method produces a concentrated broth while maintaining heat and aroma. Using a Thermos teapot or Thermos teacup at a tea-to-water ratio of 1:200 (for example, 4 grams of tea to 800 milliliters of water). Place the tea leaves in the stainless steel filter. Pour boiling water (212°F or 100°C ) into the teapot. Close the lid tightly and let the tea steep for one hour to allow the flavors to fully develop. After an hour, pour the tea into cups and enjoy the rich, mellow taste. Can be immersed multiple times.
